Question: Do you take the time you need to study the life of Jesus and apply his method to your life?

LUKE 2: 22-40

Through religious rites, Simeon and Anna’s lives of faithful prayer bear fruit.

Question: Do you live a life of faithful prayer, so that you are able to recognize God’s promises fulfilled for you?

                              ISAIAH 58: 1-9 (9-12)


The prophet calls us to life by working for justice and generosity, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, sheltering the homeless.


Question: How do you apply this lifestyle to your life?



                     1 CORINTHIANS 2: 1-12, (13-16)


In this lesson Paul shares his personal growth in Jesus through the Spirit as an encouragement for our faith journey.


Question: Have you accepted the empowerment of God’s spirit to deepen your Christian education?



                             MATTHEW 5: 13-20


Jesus teaches us using items we see or use everyday: salt and light. They are tools to be used for our Christian education.


Question; Jesus needs us to use the ordinary things of life to help us live so others will learn by watching us. Are you working to witness your Christian faith to others?

                           DEUTERONOMY 30: 15-20


This book from the Torah challenges us to adopt a life that adheres to God in all ways.


Question: If you love God, do you obey him in all things? Do you understand you must always follow his commandments?



                              1 CORINTHIANS 3: 1-9


Paul struggles to move the Corinthian people into a life empowered by God’s spirit using the analogy of seed planting to teach them.


Question: Do you understand you can plant seeds and water them, but only God can make them grow? Teach that to a child this week!!



                           MATTHEW 5: 21-37


Jesus gives us the code of conduct for those who would be his followers.


Question: How do you feel about these rules do they work for you or are they too tough?

                             LEVITICUS 19:1-2, 9-18


Hear a summary of the Law given to Moses by God in the Ten Commandments.


Question: How do these principles influence your life today?



CORINTHIANS 3: 10-11, 16-23


Paul cautions us to settle any differences since we are the temple of God and the Spirit only enters where love abides.


Question: Are you willing to do what you must to maintain harmony and love in your life?



                               MATTHEW 5: 38-48


Jesus gives us a lesson on how we must treat others if we are to become one who has learned how to forgive and love as God does.


Question: Are you working toward this kind of sacrificial love in your relationships?
